We are proud to be the preferred Kayak, Stand Up Paddleboard, and Bike Rental company for Sandy Pines Campground. We can deliver Kayaks and Stand up Paddleboards directly to the Campground’s waterfront launch site or to your campsite if you prefer. We also deliver and pick up Bikes, kids Bikes, enclosed Bike Trailers, and Tag-along kids trailers to your campsite or the main check-in area.


Please note that you must be a registered guest of Sandy Pines Campground for us to drop off rentals for you at this location.


The waterfront launch is tide dependent, so there is only one launch time each day, which coincides with the tides. At low tide, the access has no water in it, but other off-site launch sites are available for those instances where the tide doesn’t coincide with your schedule. You can see the on-site launch time for any given day by clicking on the “Book Online” button, and then selecting the date.

Sandy Pines Half Day Rental

Enjoy the convenience of paddling right from your backyard! You will be paddling on the Batson River, which meanders through a tidal Saltmarsh, and allows access to Goose Rocks Beach. Kayak and SUP rentals depart from the Sandy Pines Campground Kayak launch. These rentals are only available to registered guests of Sandy Pines.

Half Day Kayak/SUP Rental

in Biddeford Pool

Biddeford Pool is a beautiful area, especially by Kayak or SUP. During high tide you can paddle in the "pool", a protected area with salt marshes, but during low tide the pool is too shallow to navigate. The outer harbor is accessible at all tide stages, and includes Islands, sandbars, a lighthouse, and seal sightings.

Cape Porpoise is the quintessential Maine Harbor. Everything you think when you think Maine Harbor can be found here. Rocky shorelines, uninhabited Islands, Seals, a lighthouse, Lobster Boats, and more! You will not be disappointed in a paddle in this beautiful area.

Rentals Available at Sandy Pines

Our single kayaks are mainly RTM Tango models. They are 11'5" long and weigh about 50lbs. These kayaks are very stable with a weight capacity of 300lbs. They handle well for beginners and experienced kayakers alike.

Our RTM Ocean Duo kayaks hold 2 paddlers comfortably, with a 550 lb weight capacity. At just over 12' long, they are easy to handle, yet very stable and maneuverable. By moving one of the seats to the center position, these kayaks are designed to be used as single kayaks, as well. This flexibility makes them very popular for weekly rentals.

Most of our fishing kayaks are Perception Pescador Angler 120 models. These are 12' long and have 2 rod holders behind the seat. They also have 3 hatches and come with an anchor. Fishing kayak rentals do not include Fishing Tackle.

These folding kayak carts are great if you have to cover some distance to get to the water. You can strap up to 2 boards or kayaks on top, and easily pull them along.

Held in place by suction cups and straps that go through the inside of your vehicle. These racks can hold 2 kayaks, 2 SUPs, or one of each.

Lightweight and simple, this rack straps through the inside of your car. It will protect your vehicles roof, and can hold 2 SUPs or 1 kayak.
